Mickoski: Central Register creates conditions for better economy, development and stability

Skopje, 24 September 2025 (MIA) – The Central Register with its availability and swiftness has become the point that has been launching many business stories, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said Wednesday addressing an event marking the 24th anniversary of the Central Register’s establishment.

According to him, the Central Register’s trajectory in the past 24 years has featured motivation, dedication and results reaffirming its role as backbone of the Macedonian economy.
“The establishment of a modern and efficient administration, based on digitalization and focused on swift and quality services for the citizens and the companies, is a process that requires time, persistence and vision. Today, the Central Register is the perfect example, a modern and contemporary organization creating conditions for a better economy, rising development and stability of the country,” Mickoski told the event in Skopje.
It is necessary, he noted, a stable business climate, facilitated conditions for starting and running a business, more investments to be provided for an accelerated and sustainable economic growth and better standards for living and quality of life.
“With its services, the Central Register is a key business promoter and a start-up of eco-systems. Being available and swift, this institution has become the point launching many business stories,” Mickoski said mentioning that according to the Ministry of Public Administration’s evaluations, the Central Register is the top ranked institution in the country.
Minister of Finance Gordana Dimitrieska Kochoska called the Central Register “the backbone of the economic and legal infrastructure and a key link in creating a favourable business climate.”

“In order to create a functioning market economy based on knowledge, innovations and sustainable development, we have to have strong institutions and a healthy business climate. Which is why, the cooperation we have with the Central Register is of immense importance,” said the minister.
The Central register, she said, has established itself as a trusted and modern institution playing a key role in the establishment of an efficient, transparent and modern institutional system.
Central Register Director Anita Stamnova said the institution’s services are directly linked with the everyday activities of the companies and timely, accurate and quality information is of key importance for the companies in the decision-making process.

“The Central Register, as an institution, is tasked with creating conditions for launching businesses, it provides huge support for investors in all stages of the process to run a business. In the period to come, we will work tirelessly to create a favourable climate to cooperate with enterprises, chambers and the embassies so as to provide support and facilitation of business processes,” said Stamnova.
