Mickoski calls on young people to apply for grants under 2025 Operational Plan

Skopje, 1 June 2025 (MIA) – Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski called on young people to apply for grants under the Operational Employment Plan, which the Government adopted at a session on Wednesday. The plan covers 16,000 unemployed persons, 65 percent of whom are expected to be young people under the age of 29.

"Of these, we expect 65 percent to be young people, i.e. fellow citizens under the age of 29. They will receive grants depending on whether they will have a company based on the Sole Proprietorship or LLC principle," Mickoski said in response to reporters' questions after Sunday's visit to the Public Health Institute.

He noted that in the case of Sole Proprietorship, grants will be up to EUR 10,000, and in the case of LLC, grants will be EUR 13,000-20,000.

"I believe this is a significant step forward. The plan is valued at EUR 40 million, about 2.5 billion denars, so I urge young people to apply," said the PM.

He announced a new call for young people under the age of 29, in September, when startup business ideas will be granted and evaluated by a special committee.
