Mickoski arrives in Kosovo, joint government session underway  

Skopje, 18 November 2024 (MIA) - A government delegation led by Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski arrived Monday in Pristina, Kosovo, where the governments of the two countries are to hold a joint session that will be followed by the signing of bilateral agreements and memoranda of cooperation in several areas.

According to MIA’s reporter in Pristina, before the joint session, Prime Minister Mickoski held a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti.

After the session, the two governments are expected to sign three documents. The first document is a memorandum of cooperation in energy, mining and mineral resources that will define the initiative for cooperation in energy, gas, coal, electricity and the relevant infrastructural projects for gas interconnection and other initiatives, as well as initiate cooperation to assess the possibility of developing a new direct gas connection between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of North Macedonia. 

The second document concerns the implementation of the Agreement on joint border crossing points Blace – Elez Han and Jazince – Globochica.  

The third document expected to be signed is a memorandum of understanding and cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Science of North Macedonia and Kosovo’s Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation of Kosovo.

PMs Mickoski and Kurti are expected to hold a joint press conference at 1:45 pm.
