Mickoski – Knight: Deepening cooperation between institutions

Skopje, 9 December 2025 (MIA) - Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski met Tuesday with the Adjutant General of the Vermont National Guard, U.S. Major-General Gregory Knight, who is on official visit to the country.

“At the meeting we spoke about deepening the cooperation between our institutions, particularly in the areas of training, exchange of experiences, and support in building modern and efficient defense capacities,” Mickoski wrote in a post on his official Facebook page after the meeting.
The meeting was attended by Defense Minister Vlado Misajlovski, U.S. Ambassador Angela Aggeler, and Army Chief of Staff, Major-General Sashko Lafchiski.
At a ceremony later on Tuesday, President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova is set to present Major-General Knight with an Order of Military Merit for his special contribution to deepening Macedonian-U.S. friendship and military cooperation, which, according to the President’s Office, has resulted in numerous activities aimed at strengthening the capacities and increasing the combat readiness of the Macedonian army
