MFA: Nine more Macedonian nationals leave Israel, evacuation underway
- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) said Wednesday nine more Macedonian nationals have left Israel - four boarded a flight to Athens, three to Jordan, and two to Belgrade - bringing the number of those evacuated over the past three days to 40.
Skopje, 11 October 2023 (MIA) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) said Wednesday nine more Macedonian nationals have left Israel - four boarded a flight to Athens, three to Jordan, and two to Belgrade - bringing the number of those evacuated over the past three days to 40.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that 20 nationals located in the border regions, which were considered high-risk areas, were transferred early Wednesday to a safe location in Tel Aviv from where they will leave Israel.
“Unfortunately, several of the flights which were booked for some of our citizens to leave Israel during yesterday were cancelled, so the activities to board on some of today's planes continues. The Embassy of North Macedonia in Tel Aviv, as well as the crisis HQ are in constant contact with our citizens in Israel working to ensure their transfer to a safe location, from where they could travel home. Foreign Ministry said it is estimated by the crisis HQ that there are not more than 100 Macedonian nationals in Israel,” MFA said in a press release.

In addition, the Foreign Ministry once again urges citizens who are currently in Israel to observe the orders of Israel's security authorities and report to the Embassy in Tel Aviv or contact the 24/7 lines in Skopje.
