Skopje, 28 April 2023 (MIA) – According to initial information received by the Macedonian Embassy in Bulgaria from the Bulgarian authorities, the lifeless body of Macedonian citizen I.N. (49 years old) was found in Bulgaria on Thursday, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a press release Friday.

In the press release, the MFA said the Macedonian Embassy in Sofia is maintaining regular communication with the relevant authorities in Bulgaria, and expects to receive additional information about the case, about which the Ministry will additionally inform the public.

Bulgarian TV channel bTV, citing Burgas Police sources, reports that a 14-year-old has been arrested for the murder of the Macedonian citizen.

The body was found on Thursday, and it was determined it belongs to a 49-year-old Macedonian citizen who entered Bulgaria on January 24, 2023, at the Gjueshevo border crossing.

According to bTV, the police determined that the murder was committed by a 14-year-old boy from Nessebar.
