Skopje, 24 August 2022 (MIA) — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is flying Macedonian and Ukrainian flags in honor of Ukraine’s Independence Day, Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani said in a Facebook post. According to Minister Osmani, the flags have been hoisted instead of illuminating the facade, in line with power-saving measures. Osmani wrote this was a symbolic way to show solidarity and respect for the courage of the Ukrainian people who are defending freedom and upholding democratic values. mr/
