Skopje, 27 September 2022 (MIA) – The Ministry of Interior said Tuesday the call issued to Macedonian nationals to leave Russia on February 28, at the time when the sanctions on Moscow in response to the invasion in Ukraine went into force, is still valid. Back in February, the MFA urged Macedonian nationals staying at the territory of the Russian Federation to use the available commercial flights and land routes to leave the country, considering the decision of the EU and other European countries, including North Macedonia, to close the European airspace for Russian airlines. It also urged Macedonian nationals planning a visit to the Russian Federation to refrain from travel.
