Skopje, 3 August 2023 (MIA) - In light of the volatile security situation in Niger, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) is advising all Macedonian nationals against travel to Niger, urging those currently there to leave.

The Foreign Ministry, through the Embassy in Cairo, is working to ensure evacuation for one Macedonian national, who has requested help. Intensive negotiations are underway with partners and allies, who have their representative offices in Niger, adds the MFA.

"We call on our nationals currently in Niger, who have not yet left their details, to contact our Embassy in Cairo, in order to submit their details, via phone at + 202 27 508 501; +201017810085; +201033615542 and via email: cairo@mfa.gov.mk," reads the press release.
