Mexhiti: Partnering with USAID on ecology projects to improve living standard

Skopje, 17 October 2024 (MIA) - First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Environment and Physical Planning Izet Mexhiti met Thursday with a delegation of the United States Agency for International Development USAID, led by Country Representative for North Macedonia Jeri Dible.
Dible expressed expressed USAID's readiness to support projects related to improving climate change and the environment in the country through various programs as well as to exchange experiences, the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning said in a press release.
Minister Mexhiti thanked the USAID for supporting many projects in North Macedonia and for the interest in cooperating with the environmental authorities on priority projects and measures against climate change.
"USAID has been active in North Macedonia since the country's independence and has supported the country in becoming an economically developed, democratic, and inclusive society through programs that promote economic growth and competitiveness, for increasing young people's engagement in reducing unemployment and corruption," the press release adds. ssh/mr
