Mexhiti: €600 million available for green projects through #EULIFE25 program

Skopje, 6 May 2025 (MIA) – First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Environment and Physical Planning, Izet Mexhiti said Tuesday that calls for the #EULIFE25 programs are officially open with the country being the only one in the region that has access to the funding, his office said.

Mexhiti calls on the academic community, local self-governments, scientific and educational institutions, the private sector and citizens’ organizations to take the opportunity and apply directly for one of the calls in order “green ideas to turn into EU-supported projects.”

The LIFE program supports projects in four key areas, namely Nature and biodiversity; Circular economy; Climate change mitigation and adaptation, and pure energy and sustainable sources.

“Your ides, visions and initiatives for a sustainable future now can be supported with significant European funds,” Mexhiti wrote on social media.

To join the program, interested parties should register to follow virtual #EULife25 info-days from May 13 until May 15.
