Meet Prespa Festival kicks off

Skopje, 23 June 2023 (MIA) - The authentic festival Meet Prespa is taking place at the tripoint of Prespa Lake, starting Friday through June 25, in a blend of music, art, tradition, gastronomy and workshops for future development of tourism in the region.
The festival will kick off at the Brajchino village, located on the slopes of Pelister, where artist Nikola Uzunovski is setting up an exhibition and eco-art installation in nature.
The festival's program also includes gastronomy, eco art, workshops and presentations on tourism, as well as presentation of EU grant program for the region.
ReactArt - an art residency Prespa 2023, which includes artists Dorotej Neshovski, Neda Damchevska, Gregoris Mirgiotis, Iva Stankovska, Dushan Stefanovski, Jana Nikolovska, Jovana Markovska and Ardian Ajdiniu will also have their presentations. In addition, Mirko Popov will be playing a vinyl dj set at the bridge in Brajchino village.
A workshop is also planned in Krani on the perspectives of Prespa as a tourist destination, where tourism workers and producers of local products from the three countries that share Lake Prespa will discuss the potentials and needs.
On Saturday, sixteen DJs from all three countries sharing the lake, will play their dj sets from sunset to sunrise at the popular Dupeni Beach.
The festival will end on Sunday at Ljubojno village, where Deputy PM for European Affairs Bojan Marichikj, EU Ambassador David Geer, and the Mayor of Resen, Jovan Tozievski, will present the European fund for Prespa 'EU4Prespa'.
The event is organized by the 'Prespa CITY, village Ljubojno,' organization, DMO Destination management organization Korcha, Prespa Tourism Association Lemos and Municipality of Resen.
The festival is supported by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy, the Ministry of Culture, the Secretariat for European Affairs, and EU funds through the Delegation of the European Union. ssh/nn/
