Skopje, 4 September 2023 (MIA) – The Mayor of Skopje, Danela Arsovska, and the Mayor of Rome, Roberto Gualtieri, signed a Memorandum establishing cooperation, friendly relations, joint activities, exchange of experiences in the field of culture and environment, as well as finding solutions for socio-economic challenges.

With the Memorandum, Skopje and Rome will support and encourage reciprocal support for initiatives aimed at cooperation and development in the area of urbanism, urban regeneration, environmental protection, culture and initiatives aimed at cooperation and development in the fields of inclusion and innovations.

“At today’s meeting, Mayor Arsovska introduced Mayor Gualtieri with Skopje’s activities related to the city’s candidature for the prestigious title European Capital of Culture and voiced Skopje's support for Rome’s candidature for Expo 2023,” said the City of Skopje in a press release.
