Skopje, 13 July 2023 (MIA) - At the invitation of the Transatlantic Leadership Network, Deputy PM for European Affairs Bojan Marichikj is set to address a conference themed "The Western Balkans: Transatlantic and Regional Cooperation - Building Strong Alliances" in Washington on Thursday. 

 

A reception was organized ahead of the opening of the conference, where Marichkij addressed participants and hosts of the event, expressing honor and satisfaction with the invitation and with such initiatives that strengthen trust and regional connectivity, as well as transatlantic relations, on which the Western Balkans' security and prosperity is built, the Secretariat for European Affairs said in a press release.

 

 

Albanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Belinda Balluku, Serbian Minister of European Integration Tanja Miščević, U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Europe and Eurasia David De Falco, Head of the FBIH Banking Agency Jasmin Mahmuzić, and Valbona Zeneli of the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies will also participate in the conference. 

 

As part of the conference organized by the Transatlantic Leadership Network in cooperation with the Atlantic Council, Economy Minister Kreshnik Bekteshi will address a panel on energy and energy independence. 

 

 

Deputy PM Marichikj will wrap up his visit to the United States on Friday, with a bilateral meeting with Deputy Assistant Secretary and Special Envoy to the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar.
