Skopje, 3 April 2024 (MIA) - The country's sooner EU accession is of key importance for the region and the citizens of North Macedonia, said First Deputy PM for European Affairs Bojan Marichikj at a meeting with Dutch Member of the European Parliament (MEP) Tineke Strik on Wednesday.
Deputy PM Marichikj highlighted the Government's commitment for realization of the country's European agenda, the Secretariat for European Affairs said in a press release.
Marichikj and Strik paid specific attention to the successful realization of the screening process through intensive and thorough activities by institutions.
Interlocutors also referred to various segments in the rule of law field, upcoming elections and challenges the country and the region are facing.
The Deputy PM and the Dutch MEP agreed that the Wester Balkans' EU accession is of enormous significance for North Macedonia and the region.
Strik, who is a member of the Group of the Greens in the EP, reaffirmed the support for continuation of North Macedonia's European integration, benefiting all citizens and the society in general, reads the press release.
