Skopje, 18 October 2022 (MIA) – The Government held Tuesday a thematic session dedicated to the fight against breast cancer as part of the global observances, deciding on the introduction of mandatory checkups and mobile mammography screening. The Ministry of Finance has been tasked with projecting funds for this purpose in the 2023 Budget, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, the Government said in a press release. In addition, the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy has been tasked with changing the Law on Occupational Safety and Health and related bylaws to include this screening in the workers’ annual medical checkups as a preventive measure.
