Skopje, 19 June 2025 (MIA) - The "Macedonian Village" complex, located in Vodno near Nerezi, is set to reopen on Thursday after being closed for seven years. The new concessionaire is the "La Terraza" company, whose bid was selected as the most favorable in a public call announced by the Government’s Service for General and Common Affairs.
The Government's General and Common Affairs Service said the concessionaire was selected in a legal and transparent manner, through electronic public bidding, via the system managed by the Ministry of Finance.
Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski is to attend Thursday's reopening event.
The "Macedonian Village" complex consisted of 12 authentic houses, with rooms where Macedonian crafts were presented, while some parts of the complex were used as hotel rooms and there was also a restaurant section.
According to the Government's General and Common Affairs Service, the reopening of the complex will create conditions to encourage the development of tourism and strengthen local economy, create new jobs, and improve the tourist capacity in Skopje, which will affect an increased number of tourists not only in Skopje, but also in the country in general.
