Macedonian passport allows visa-free travel to 124 countries
Belgrade, 20 July 2022 (MIA) – The Macedonian passport allows for visa-free travel to 124 countries, making it 33rd in the Arton Capital passport index, which covers the passports of 193 countries – members of the United Nations, as well as the Vatican, Kosovo, Taiwan, Macao, Hong Kong and the Palestinian territories. Serbia is 25th in the index allowing visa-free travel to 134 countries, Montenegro shares the 33rd spot with North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina is 41st with visa-free travel to 116 countries, and Kosovo is 82nd, reports MIA’s Belgrade correspondent. Japan, Singapore and South Korea are the three countries with the most powerful passports, because their citizens can travel to all countries in the world without a visa. The countries with the most powerful passports in Europe are Germany and Spain, allowing visa-free travel to 190 countries, followed by Finland, Italy and Luxembourg which have “free-access” to 189 countries. Austria, Denmark, the Netherlands and Sweden share the 5th spot, whereas France, Ireland, Portugal and the UK are all 6th. New Zealand and the US are 7th, followed by Belgium, Norway and Switzerland in 8th place. The citizens of Afghanistan are yet again at the bottom of the list with the weakest passport, allowing travel to 27 countries only after they apply for a visa. ad/ba/
