Macedonian delegation in Vermont to promote defense cooperation

Skopje, 28 July 2025 (MIA) -- A delegation led by army chief General Major Sashko Lafchiski and including Ministry of Defense stete secretary Elizabeta Chupovska Ristova is paying an official visit to the US state of Vermont as part of a partnership program.
The delegation will meet with senior representatives of the Vermont National Gard and Norwich Military University. They will also meet with Governor of Vermont Phil Scott and other Vermont state officials.
The aim of the visit is to promote the strategic defense cooperation between the two countries, the exchange of experiences and the planning of joint military drills and training courses.
"This activity is yet another step toward strengthening the defense capacities and interoperability of the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia and the US armed forces, in the spirit of the NATO alliance," an official press release said. mr/
