Macedonian athlete Relikj beats two-time Olympic champion to qualify for taekwondo quarterfinal

Paris, 8 August 2024 (MIA) - Macedonian taekwondo athlete Mila Relikj beat British two-time gold medalist Jade Jones in the first round of the women’s -57kg at the Paris Olympics on Thursday.
With the 2-1 victory over the British athlete, Relikj secured her place in the quarterfinal where she will face Lebanon's Laetitia Aoun. The match will take place at around 3:45 pm on Thursday.
Earlier on Thursday, Macedonian wrestler Vladimir Egorov suffered a convincing 10-0 defeat to India’s Aman Sehrawat in the first round of the men’s 57kg freestyle wrestling, ending his participation in the 2024 Olympics.
