Bitola, 14 September 2022 (MIA) - Macedonian archeological items, considered as high artistic achievement as regard social and religious forms that are characteristic for different stages of prehistoric times in this region, will be displayed over the next three years in New York, Chicago and Ottawa. The invitation by the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago was presented Wednesday at a news conference, which allows 19 items from Neolithic, Eneolithic and Iron Age, discovered at the archeological sites in Prilep, Bitola and Gevgelija, to be exhibited in the next three years in North America. The exhibit, dubbed "First Kings of Europe", is the largest display of prehistoric objects in the history of archeology, said project coordinator Goce Naumov. "It is expected over one million visitors to see the exhibit, who for the first time will learn more about the social and religious aspect of prehistoric communities. The museums from Bitola, Prilep and Gevgelija will participate in the exhibit in North America to together present the Macedonian prehistoric era," Naumov told a news conference in Bitola alongside the directors of the museums in Bitola, Prilep and Gevgelija.
