Macedonia2025 Summit ends, Pendarovski urges cooperation and partnership for prosperity

Skopje, 27 April 2023 (MIA) - We will ensure stability and prosperity through commitment, solidarity, cooperation and creativity, said President Stevo Pendarovski in the closing remarks at the 12th Macedonia2025 Summit, which brought together over 500 participants - leaders, businessmen, investors - over the past two days, sharing information, experience and knowledge while laying foundations for cooperation and projects.

Стабилност и просперитет во тековните услови ќе обезбедиме со посветеност, солидарност, соработка и креативност, порача претседателот Стево Пендаровски пред учесниците на 12. издание на Самит

President Pendarovski expressed assurance that projects and initiatives would be implemented in the near future as a result of the summit's intensive agenda.

According to him, the summit is an excellent opportunity for North Macedonia's promotion as a business destination open for investments and application of various productive business models and ideas.

"I am sure this objective was fulfilled, along with the intention to attract businessmen from the diaspora not only out of patriotic and sentimental reasons but because of concrete business opportunities for investments and making profit," said Pendarovski, who was presented with a certificate of appreciation for his continued support to Macedonia2025 activities.

The President said today's dynamic world is shaken by geopolitical quakes, security and economic crises, health threats, whereas the local and global economy is especially affected, having implications on the people's health and well-being.

"That is why we need commitment, solidarity, cooperation and creativity, in order to ensure stability and prosperity," said Pendarovski.

Macedonia2025, he added, one of the most significant international organizations set up by members of the Macedonian diaspora, has been systematically working for 16 years to support the Macedonian citizens and state through various forms and content.

"Without a doubt, the summit is especially significant and valuable for our business community, experts and the country in general. I highly value Macedonia2025 activities and commitment, an organization that authentically contributes to the close and productive ties of North Macedonia with its diaspora and I encourage you to continue with the same intensity in the future as well. I believe you have received the required support from the Macedonian state institutions, the local business community and the public. The effects of your work cannot be felt instantly and assessed in the short run. They are long-term and depend on series of factors. I expect the analyses and evaluation of projects and programmes to produce concrete indicators about the achieved results and future projections," noted Pendarovski.

Over 40 speakers, leaders in their respective fields, addressed the summit, referring to key perspectives in the process of creating prosperous economies. In this regard, emphasis was placed on the potentials of digitization, use of artificial intelligence and strategic leadership in the process of transforming societies and stimulating development.

"At this year's summit, we managed to create a solid base for cooperation between the private and public sector but also a base that gives us the opportunity to look at the experiences and successful models already implemented in other societies and economies, and adapt and apply them here in order to make our country a better place to live. In this regard, we are working on intensifying regional cooperation because sustainable development is possible only in a broader context. I sincerely believe the opportunity is here, we only need more will and efforts. Let's all try to contribute to swift progress because we owe this to our children and future generations. We will continue to work in this direction and I hope all those who wish to stimulate change will join us in this mission," said Nikica Mojsoska Blazhevski, CEO of Macedonia2025.
