Skopje, 23 September 2025 (MIA) – It’s a fact that Macedonia has been under a hybrid attack in the past few months. Certain vital points in the country have been at risk, Interior Minister Panche Toshkovski said adding that the Interior Ministry (MoI) has been acting. He stressed he cannot provide any further details at this point.

Asked if there is a lead or suspects behind the power centers pinpointed as deliberately setting fires, Toshkovski briefly replied: “Yes, there is.”

“Hybrid threat is a term used frequently mainly by the security services. It’s a fact that Macedonia has been under a hybrid attack in the past few months. Certain vital points in the country have been at risk. We’re all seeing it, the Macedonian people sees it as well as you, the reporters, and the institutions. Are we acting? Yes, we are. Can I provide further information at this point? No, I can’t,” Toshkovski said speaking to reporters after the 16th international scientific conference on systemic corruption, organized by the Skopje Faculty of Security.

Asked whether the power centers behind the arsons have been identified, Toshkovski said he cannot provide further details at this point.
