Skopje, 23 April 2023 (MIA) - German airline Lufthansa landed on Sunday the first flight from Franfurt to the Skopje International Airport. 

TAV Macedonia organized an event at the Skopje Airport on the launch of the new Lufthansa Frankfurt-Skopje flight, also marking the airline's entry in the Macedonian market.

Minister of Transport and Communications, Blagoj Bochvarski, German Ambassador to North Macedonia, Petra Drexler, TAV Macedonia Director General, Metin Batak, and Lufthansa Group's Peter Pullem attended the event welcoming the first flight from Frankfurt. 

The new Skopje-Frankfurt flight is realized with government subsidies. Lufthansa will fly to Frankfurt ten times a week as of April 23. 

Lufthansa's flight to Frankfurt will connect passengers to more than 200 destinations in Europe and the world.
