Local elections 2025: Final day for submission of nominations for mayors and council members

Skopje, 13 September 2025 (MIA) - Nominations for mayors and council members in 80 municipalities and the City of Skopje for the October 19 local elections can be submitted to the Municipal Election Commissions and the City of Skopje Election Commission by midnight on Saturday.

The State Election Commission (SEC) will hold a draw to determine the list of candidates by September 25 at the latest.

Political parties taking part in the elections are set to sign a Code for Fair and Democratic Elections by September 27.
