Lloga-Malenica in Sibenik: Croatia to help North Macedonia’s European integration process through its experience

Skopje, 23 May 2023 (MIA) – Strengthening bilateral cooperation between North Macedonia and Croatia in the sphere of judiciary and building capacity in conducting negotiations under Chapter 23 – Judiciary and Fundamentals Rights were topics discussed between Justice Minister Krenar Lloga and Croatia’s Minister of Justice and Public Administration, Ivan Malenica in Sibenik.
Interlocutors exchanged views on transferring Croatia's knowledge and skills in terms of North Macedonia’s European practices, the Justice Ministry said in a press release.
They also discussed the vetting process as well as the organization of joint workshops to exchange opinions concerning the best possible solution. The talks also focused on the digitization process, which is making great progress in Croatia and is yielding great results.
Minister Lloga invited Malenica to pay an official visit to Skopje. Croatian Minister gladly accepted the invitation, saying that Croatia is willing to help North Macedonia in all reform and European integration processes.
Croatia's experience in combating organized crime and corruption as well as the implementation of bilateral agreements between the two countries and the legislative agenda were discussed during the bilateral meeting that took place on the sidelines of the Cybercrime Summit of South-East Europe in Sibenik.
The summit was organized by the Ministry of Justice and Public Administration of the Republic of Croatia and the US Department of Justice, and was attended by high-level officials of the countries of South-East Europe and the United States.
