Skopje, 27 October 2023 (MIA) - The Kingdom of Spain is one of the biggest supporters of North Macedonia's European path, said Minister of Justice Krenar Lloga at a meeting with Spanish counterpart María Pilar Llop Cuenca, held within the EU-Western Balkans Ministerial Forum on Justice and Home Affairs on Friday in Skopje.

"I thanked my colleague, Spanish Justice Minister María Pilar Llop Cuenca, for choosing Skopje and us as partners of the most important organization for Western Balkans and EU. In continuity of our joint efforts for bringing the country closer to the EU, we discussed the reform process and all challenges we face. I also briefed Spain's Justice Minister on the projects and legal solutions in the justice system, as well as the peer review mission report that will outline the directions we will follow in the coming period," Lloga said.

The main topic of Friday's meeting was the digitization process in the judiciary.

"We are working on arriving at the most appropriate solutions through the use of best experiences and with direct help from our friends for this important project," Lloga pointed out, adding that the rule of law is the main pillar of a democratic European society, to which the country is seriously committed at this important time for North Macedonia's European future. ssh/nn/
