Skopje, 12 June 2024 (MIA) — Lidl North Macedonia DOOEL Skopje has bought from Skopski Pazar AD Skopje the site of the former Mr. Bricolage store in the Municipality of Gazi Baba.

According to Skopski Pazar in a press release, the real estate was sold for EUR 9,564,485 (Mden 588,911,166) excluding tax.

"The price corresponds to the market value of this kind of deals," the release notes.

The company's supervisory board decided to sell the property to Lidl on April 18, the release adds.

Initial construction work has started at the site.

Lidl made its first investment in the country on Jan. 24 by building a logistics and distribution center in the Rechica industrial zone.

That EUR 80 million investment, according to announcements, would result in creating more than 150 jobs. mr/
