Strumica, 14 September 2024 (MIA) - Leo Dolores Popovikj won the award for high acting achievement at the 32nd edition of the Festival of Chamber Theater “Risto Shishkov” which concluded on Friday evening in Strumica.

“Dealing with the necessity of questioning and interpreting modernity, through a subtle acting voice, Dolores Leo Popovikj aesthetically shapes the problem and the socio-political relations in which we live, creating an authentic, powerful character which in addition to the acting aesthetic and freedom in artistic creation becomes a key tool for achieving and nurturing a social and individual facility for empathy, as well as achieving social action, since art – theater is that which inspires the creation of a better and more just world,” said last year’s laureate and head of the Festival’s jury, Jordan Simonov, talking about the decision to grant the award to Popovikj.
This year’s festival was concluded by the Skopje Drama Theatre with the play “The Fall of Masada” written by Venko Andonovski and directed by Dejan Projkovski.
