Skopje, 30 November 2023 (MIA) - The Embassy of the Russian Federation in Skopje posted a photo on its Facebook profile of the meeting between Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and the Foreign Minister of North Macedonia, Bujar Osmani, the current OSCE Chairperson, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malta, Ian Borg, the future OSCE Chairperson.

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that discussions were focused on the situation in the OSCE. On the Russian side, it was emphasized that for the organization to overcome the current crisis and return to normal activities, it is necessary for the organization to maintain mutual respect and equal dialogue among participating countries, to adhere to the basic consensus rule, and strictly follow the organization's rules.
