Skopje, 28 July 2021 (MIA) – I urge preschool employees, those who are not vaccinated, to get vaccinated, so that after the holidays are over preschools can work at full capacity, of course in accordance with the epidemiological situation in the country. The data we received from the coordination body in charge of the vaccination process show that less than 50 percent of the preschool employees have been vaccinated, Minister of Labor and Social Policy Jagoda Shahpaska said in an interview with the national broadcaster MRTV. She pointed out that during the first COVID-19 wave, when the Government was preparing the priority groups for vaccination, preschool employees were also included as a priority group. The Minister of Labor and Social Policy noted that with consistent observance of the health protocols by the employees, parents, as well as due to the nature of the virus, according to the limited number of children present, preschools were the first facilities to reopen amid a pandemic. Thus, Shahpaska said, we showed that they are a safe place for child care.
