Sofia, 19 July 2022 (MIA) — Bulgarian MEP and co-president of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE) Ilhan Kyuchyuk in a Twitter post said it was a historic day for Albania and North Macedonia “as they finally open negotiations with the European Union,” MIA’s Sophia correspondent reports. "Congratulations, dear friends! Let's move forward together," Kyuchyuk wrote. Bulgarian media, MIA's correspondent adds, widely reported the news about North Macedonia’s and Albania’s start of EU membership negotiations on Tuesday. mr/
