Kuleba: North Macedonia is good friend of Ukraine, has done a lot to help

Washington, 27 March 2024 (MIA) - During an online briefing for the world’s media on Wednesday, Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that North Macedonia is a good friend of Ukraine and has done a lot to help the country, the Voice of America reports.

"You have done a lot in the past three years. You have really done a lot to help us, just as we did to help you in the nineties," said Kuleba.

The Ukrainian Foreign Minister said polls across different Western countries show that people support the Ukrainian government, but there will definitely be a spike in Russian propaganda efforts in the coming weeks and months, especially in light of the upcoming European and U.S. elections.

According to him, Russia will spare no efforts in accusing Ukraine of crimes in order to discredit it.

"Therefore, we must remain vigilant, we must resist. The most recent example, of course, is Russia's attempt to link Ukraine or accuse Ukraine of being involved in the concert hall attack in Russia. These statements are false and absurd. This is not how we fight for ourselves. Crimes against civilians is a Russian practice, as we have seen in the past few years of Russian aggression against Ukraine, but, yes, they will try to do everything they can to discredit Ukraine," said Kuleba.

Russia, according to him, has no red lines when it comes to attempts at discrediting Ukraine in the eyes of the whole world, but the problem is the red lines of the Western countries.

"The problem is less with Russian propaganda that knows no red lines, but more with Western governments setting too many red lines when it comes to the fight to support Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression," the Ukrainian Foreign Minister said.
