Skopje, 16 October 2025 (MIA) – The Krivolak army field is hosting the "Junction City 2025" international military exercise, taking place from October 6 to 28. The drill is organized by the 173rd Airborne Brigade of the US Army, with support from the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia.

As part of the drill, the Army provides logistical support and makes available the capacities of the Krivolak army field, which enables the performance of complex training activities in real conditions. This joint activity is aimed at promoting cooperation between the two armies, strengthen mutual trust, understanding and interoperability within the NATO Alliance, the Army said in a press release.

The US Army's 173rd Airborne Brigade, deployed in Italy and Germany, is a quick deploying contingency brigade in Europe. During the drill, its paratrooper and artillery units are honing coordinated fire tactics, integrating new unmanned systems, and command and control procedures in a dynamic and complex environment.

"The "Junction City 2025" exercise contributes to improving the operational readiness and joint training of allied forces in order to increase stability, security and cooperation in the region," reads the press release.
