Ohrid, 17 March 2023 (MIA) - Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski met late on Friday in Ohrid with the US Deputy Assistant Secretary and Special Representative to the Western Balkans Gabriel Escobar.

At the meeting, which was attended by US Ambassador to North Macedonia Angela Aggeler, Deputy PM for European Affairs Bojan Marichikj and Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani, PM Kovachevski underlined support of the government of the Republic of North Macedonia to the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina in the direction to fully defining the path to the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia, the government said in a press release.

PM Kovachevski underscored the importance of finding solutions to all open issues in the region through dialogue.

They jointly concluded that with its principled foreign policy based on dialogue and compromise in the function of progress, North Macedonia as the host of this event is recognized as a credible partner of the international community.
