Kovachevski-Deffaa: Support to North Macedonia’s economic progress
Skopje, 21 February 2022 (MIA) – We are focused on the energy crisis and the social dialogue, resulting in a rise of the minimum wage, and we are now working on a pension increase, said Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski during a meeting with Walter Deffaa, the PM’s special advisor on economic policies nominated by the German Chancellery, on Monday. The meeting, also attended by German Ambassador Anke Holstein, focused on the large and sincere support from Germany to North Macedonia’s Euro-integration and development, with interlocutors exchanging opinions on the progress of projects’ implementation, the Government said in a press release. “The Government finds the enhancement of the people’s living standard a top priority. Investments and innovations lead to economic development, and we are also committed to the continued implementation of structural reforms,” said PM Kovachevski. Kovachevski and Deffaa agreed on having intensive communication tackling measurable results, reads the press release.
