Sveti Nikole, 26 June 2023 (MIA) - Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski labelled today's press release of Struga Mayor Ramiz Merko as 'oration on Woodrow Wilson' and said the municipality must be available to the investigative authorities.
"I saw his oration on Woodrow Wilson and the American flags at the social media, saying the municipality is open to all authorities that are set to investigate the allegations that put him on the U.S. blacklist. This is in fact what I said on the first day (after the State Department designation), that the municipality should be immediately available for all the required inspections," PM Kovachevski told reporters.
According to him, it is good that the Public Prosecutor's Office has already set up a commission over the case, while adding that the Government is neither a prosecutor nor a judge.
"I will not do what some former PMs did, resulting in them currently living in other countries," said Kovachevski.
