Gostivar, 27 February 2023 (MIA) – Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski met Monday with the Mayor of Gostivar, Arben Taravari, during his visit and the handing over of the keys to the beneficiaries of social housing in the municipality.

The PM and the Mayor spoke about the challenges faced by the Municipality of Gostivar and the importance of the aid provided by the Government for the stabilization of the municipalities which allows them to successfully carry out their tasks and provide quality services to the citizens.

“The Government is creating an objective, fair, transparent and sustainable system for financial equalization of the municipalities. The goal of the Government is to provide the citizens with quality services, and access to said services regardless of where they live,” was one of the conclusions after the meeting.

Kovachevski said that securing a prosperous future for all citizens is the most important thing for the Government, because the citizens deserve to live in an EU member state.

At the meeting, Kovachevski and Taravari reaffirmed their commitments to consolidating and uniting all progressive political parties that support North Macedonia’s EU accession. ad/sk/
