Kovachevski says prices of basic foodstuffs to drop by at least 10 pct
Skopje, 19 November 2022 (MIA) – Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski, who is paying a working visit to the Ohrid-Struga region on Saturday, said prices of basic food products will drop by at least 10 percent.   Latest government measures provide for much cheaper electricity to be available to companies in the food industry, Kovachevski said after visiting the “Podgorka” plant in Struga and “Organska Bukovka DOO” in Ohrid.   “The latest measures provide for much cheaper electricity for companies in the food industry. I expect a drop in the prices of basic food products by at least 10 percent. Prices for some products have already dropped, and this will continue for other products as well,” said Kovachevski.    The PM reiterated that no one is left out with the anti-crisis measures.   “We’ll keep the standard, and we’ll also keep companies liquid,” said Kovachevski.
