Skopje, 1 November 2023 (MIA) - Addressing a National Insurance Day event at the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia on Wednesday, Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski reiterated that North Macedonia deserves to be part of the EU. 

According to Kovachevski, the European future is ahead of us. 

"Developing awareness of ensuring security through insurance contracts is also part of the EU's policy. In that sense, all commitment in this direction is aimed towards ensuring economic stability, security and well-being of citizens and companies. The European future is ahead of us through this industry as well. Two days ago, during her visit, the European Commission President clearly told us that we deserve to become part of the European Union. Therefore, I'd like to reiterate that EU membership is based on the concept of merit. North Macedonia deserves to be part of the EU, and we all deserve to be European citizens, here at home in our country. Let's live a European life and behave like European citizens. Our young people, our children and all our citizens expect that from us," PM Kovachevski pointed out.
