Kovachevski meets extra-parliamentary coalition partners for talks on support to citizens amid crisis

Skopje, 26 January 2023 (MIA) – Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski said he held a working dinner on Thursday with leaders and other senior officials of the extra-parliamentary parties that are part of the SDSM-led coalition, discussing implementation of the government program, as well as measures and policies to support citizens amid a global economic and energy crisis.
“This meeting, which is part of a series of meetings with the SDSM coalition partners, discussed among other joint activities we are planning for this year and the country’s European future, which is our common priority,” Kovachevski posted on Facebook.
Today’s meeting comes after Monday’s working dinner between Kovachevski and the leaders and other senior officials of the parliamentary coalition parties, where talks focused on dealing with the consequences of the energy and economic crisis, the implementation of the government program, reforms in terms of the European path and steps to ensure a European future for the country.
“We discussed about activities in 2023, the measures and policies of the Government in dealing with the global energy crisis, economic development and the energy transition, the implementation of the government program, the reforms in terms of the European path and steps to ensure a European future for the country,” Kovachevski said Monday.
Earlier on Monday, SDSM Secretary General Mile Zechevikj held a meeting with coalition partners at the party’s headquarters.
