Skopje, 24 January 2024 (MIA) - United States wants to see North Macedonia in the European Union sooner, says Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski after a meeting with Ambassador Angela Aggeler.

"US steadfast support for our European policies has been reaffirmed. We highly value the good intentions of our American friends, who reconfirmed at the leaders' meeting dedicated to the Growth Plan for Western Balkans they will continue to accompany us on the European path," PM Kovachevski wrote in a Facebook post.

Our next step in the Euro-integration process, he adds, is long-awaited and internationally supported as never before.

"I believe pro-European forces in the society will recognize this and stand in defense of the vision for a European state. Our concept of European perspective and certain European future supports this vision, versus the concept of uncertainty and isolation," says Kovachevski.
