Kovachevski – Cravinho: Portugal ready to provide political, technical support in EU integration
Skopje, 26 July 2022 (MIA) – Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski held Tuesday a meeting with Portuguese Foreign Minister João Gomes Cravinho, who is paying an official two-day visit to North Macedonia.
PM Kovachevski and Minister Cravinho once again reaffirmed successful bilateral cooperation between North Macedonia and Portugal, discussing possibilities to intensify and promote economic bilateral and multilateral cooperation, in the context of the current economic and energy crisis the world is facing, the government said in a press release.
The Portuguese FM expressed sincere congratulations on the opening of North Macedonia’s negotiations for full-fledged EU membership, pointing out the decision required both political and statecraft courage.
Cravinho told Kovachevski that Portugal is ready to provide both political and technical support, in continuity throughout the entire European integration process.
Deputy PM for good governance policies Slavica Grkovska also attended the meeting with the Portuguese Foreign Minister.
