Kochani nightclub fire: Bodies being identified in Shtip hospital

Kumanovo, 16 March 2025 (MIA) - Seven teenagers showing no signs of life were transported to the clinical hospital in Shtip, its director Vlatko Zahariev said Sunday. Bodies are being identified and so far, police have identified four bodies of the victims. The hospital has admitted 39 people, mostly patiens with second-degree burns.
" The seven teenagers showing no signs of life when taken to the hospital have died. Four bodies have been identified and three are being identified," Zahariev told the media.
The Shtip hospital has admitted 39 people taken from the site of the nightclub fire. 80 patients were transported to the Shtip hospital between 3:30 am and 5 am and they were all tiaged.
Those in a life-threatening condition were sent to the hospitals in Skopje.
Currently, the Shtip hospital treats 39 patients, mostly with second-degree burns.
Zahariev said the peak of triage and exams is over and the patients admitted to the hospital have begun treatment. He thanked the local hospitals in Strumica, Kochani and Probishtip for sending medical teams and ambulances.
