Kasami: Focused on runoff, Government has legitimacy for full term
Tetovo, 26 October 2021 (MIA) – Besa leader Bilal Kasami, who is running for Tetovo mayor, said Tuesday he was more focused on the local elections than Government-related calculations, adding that local elections might reflect on future policies.
“We are focused on the second round of the local elections. In this regard, we have already announced our cooperation with the Alliance of Albanians over reciprocal support of our candidates. We stop short of making further calculations because we are now focusing on the local elections. The most important thing for us at this time is to win in Tetovo and Zhelino,” said Kasami.
According to him, the Government has the legitimacy for a full term.
“The legitimacy of this government stems from the 2020 parliamentary elections and I personally believe it should complete its term. Of course, parties will reflect after the local elections. Government issues are not only tied to local interests, because Macedonia has strategic partners in Washington and Brussels,” said Kasami.
