Skopje, 10 March 2023 (MIA) - The so-called "Fire Group" in DUI would be more acceptable for cooperation to the Besa Movement, only if they decide to break away from the party and form a new party. Every possibility of cooperation with the current parliamentary majority is closed, said Besa leader Bilal Kasami in an interview with Alsat.
"We would welcome if the "Fire Group" finally decided to break away from DUI, form a political party and sit together to make an expanded opposition coalition. With them, with Alternativa, with other parties, other groups, with intellectuals and other opposition factors from the civil sector. We are ready to extend a hand for cooperation to any political force with which we believe that we will prove to the Albanian voters that we have surpassed ourselves and are ready to form a winning force, thus guaranteeing that their vote will not go in vain," said Kasami.
He pointed out that Alternativa structures are welcome in Besa.
"If their further interest is to make a political rotation in the Albanian political camp, which means DUI finally going in opposition, then they are welcome to sit down together and continue the project where it left off," Kasami said.
According to him, the government doesn't dare to send an official invitation for Besa to join the government coalition, neither to him nor to some other prominent party members, because it has not only betrayed his party, but also the Albanian voters.
