Kambovski: New head of Organised Crime Prosecution to consistently adhere to the law
Skopje, 10 November 2022 (MIA) - Academician Vlado Kambovski regarding the election of the new head of the Public Prosecutor's Office on Organised Crime and Corruption said that if the current election of the head of the Organised Crime Prosecution is determined to be a negative experience, then the election criteria will have to be improved and to develop further. “The newly elected head of the Organised Crime Prosecution, I have no idea how he was elected, but I recommend him to consistently adhere to the law, because as we have seen in previous cases, the time is coming to take responsibility, not only political, but also punitive, criminal responsibility on increasingly higher levels of performance of state duties,” Kambovski said Thursday. With the opening of EU accession negotiations, Kambovski added, all institutions will be seriously observed whether they perform their duties or not. “For me, it is important that the person who is elected legally and conscientiously performs his duty, because all institutions in the coming period will be seriously observed whether they execute their duties in a legal manner or not. It is essential to understood that the end is coming for political arbitrariness, the anger of political parties and arrogance, imposing staff without meeting the quality criteria,” Kambovski said. He underscored that a new judicial reform strategy is being prepared and all these issues will be covered.
