Skopje, 26 April 2023 (MIA) – The working group will be transparent. I wouldn't interfere in its work. I believe the Justice Minister will regularly brief on how it works because it is within the Ministry, said Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski asked about his expectations from the group on the constitutional amendments that should begin its work as of Wednesday.
He said that in accordance with the negotiating framework adopted by the 27 member states of the EU and the conclusions of the Parliament on the European proposal for starting North Macedonia's negotiations with the EU, the Government, through the Ministry of Justice, has formed the working group that is to prepare the text of the draft amendments.
"They will work according to their legal norms. I think they start work today. A president will be elected and other form of functioning of the working group. It will be transparent about the way it works," Kovachevski added in response to reporters' questions after the opening of the Macedonia 2025 Summit.
