Justice Minister Lloga meets EU Ambassador Geer
- Minister of Justice Krenar Lloga met Tuesday with EU Ambassador to North Macedonia, David Geer, focused on planned reforms in the judiciary, the protection of human rights, the screening process, the Euro-integration processes, the Judicial Reform Strategy 2023-2027, electoral reform, implementation of OSCE/ODIHR recommendations and the fight against crime and corruption.

Skopje, 7 March 2023 (MIA) – Minister of Justice Krenar Lloga met Tuesday with EU Ambassador to North Macedonia, David Geer, focused on planned reforms in the judiciary, the protection of human rights, the screening process, the Euro-integration processes, the Judicial Reform Strategy 2023-2027, electoral reform, implementation of OSCE/ODIHR recommendations and the fight against crime and corruption.
Minister Lloga informed Ambassador Geer of the activities undertaken in order to improve the conditions in the country's prisons based on recommendations by the Council of Europe’s Committee for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment, the Ministry of Justice said in a press release.
EU Ambassador Geer noted that additional effort is necessary in order to eliminate political influence from the judiciary.
Geer and Lloga expressed hope for further successful realization of the reforms, while offering full support for the Euro-integration process,” reads the press release.
