JSP employees stage protest in front of Government
Skopje, October 19, 2022 (MIA) - Employees of the public bus service JSP started protests in front of the Government on Wednesday, demanding payment of overdue wages.
JSP unions on Tuesday said they will strike until what has been promised is delivered, but the employees will not halt work.
On Tuesday, Skopje Mayor Danela Arsovska said it was a matter of a major debt , adding that JSP buses "as of tomorrow will be in front of the Government and other institutions, until the debts to this public enterprise are settled".
"JSP buses will drive as long as they can. We will try to consistently deliver this service to the citizens until the last moment. The buses that will not run will remain in front of the Government and we will put them in front of all institutions until they fulfill their obligations," said Arsovska.
The Government rejected accusations of any debt towards the JSP public bus service. This morning, however, Skopje’s public bus service was interrupted because of a bomb threat received via email. dk/nn/
